Background
Chemokine receptor CXCR3 is a Gαi protein-coupled receptor in the CXC chemokine receptor family. CXCR3 in mouse is a receptor for the C-X-C chemokine CXCL9, CXCL10 and CXCL11 and mediates the proliferation, survival and angiogenic activity of mesangial cells through a heterotrimeric G-protein signaling pathway. It probably promotes cell chemotaxis response and binds to CCL21.
